Kukke Subrahamnya:  A search operation has intensified in Subrahmanya after Honnappa Devaragadde, an ambulance driver at the Subrahmanya Primary Health Centre (PHC), was reported missing on July 22.

According to his wife Premalatha, Honnappa left for work early in the morning but left his mobile phone at home. Hospital staff later informed her that he had applied for leave and left the premises. When he failed to return home by afternoon, further inquiries revealed that his scooter was still parked at the hospital.

Alarmed by the situation, she alerted local residents and co-workers. A review of CCTV footage from the nearby Somanatheshwara Temple showed Honnappa walking toward the Kumaradhara River, raising concerns that he may have fallen into the water. Despite extensive local searches, he remains untraced.

In a major development, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has now arrived at the scene and has launched a full-scale search operation along the Kumaradhara River, suspecting a possible drowning incident.
